Ryan Specialty Group has announced the appointment of Chris Burns as president of Technical Risk Underwriters (TRU), Ryan Specialty’s managing general underwriter specializing in construction.
“Chris' technical vision and underwriting acumen have positioned TRU as a recognized leader in the builders’ risk industry,” said Miles Wuller, president and CEO of RSG Underwriting Managers. “This appointment properly acknowledges his leadership driving the current and future strategy of TRU.”
“Having had the pleasure of working with Chris for over three years, I have observed firsthand Chris’ deep expertise and knowledge of construction risks,” said Katie Davis, CEO of TRU. “Chris has been TRU’s chief underwriting officer and will maintain his underwriting responsibilities going forward. I’m looking forward to working with Chris in his expanded role as president of TRU.”
