Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of Indiana-based Stewart, Brimner, Peters & Company (SBP). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
SBP is a retail insurance broker that offers commercial and personal insurance products, as well as employee benefits consulting, to clients in central and northern Indiana.
As part of the transaction, Jason Brimner, John Brimner, Jeff Peters, Mick Stewart and their team will remain in their current location. They will report to Sean Gallagher, head of Gallagher’s Great Lakes region retail property-casualty brokerage operations.

“SBP’s strong client relationships and focus on growth will expand our capabilities in the region,” said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Arthur J. Gallagher. “I am excited to welcome Jason, John, Jeff, Mick and their associates to our growing global team.”
SBP is the latest in a string of acquisitions for Gallagher. Earlier this month, the global broker snapped up Tennessee-based Anderson Benson. In January, Gallagher’s Risk Placement Services subsidiary acquired Texas-based Remco Insurance Agencies.
