Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of George Close as vice president in its employee benefits group. Close will be based in Arlington, Va.
“George works as a trusted advisor for clients, combining keen market insight and deep analytical thinking,” said Kevin Overbey, president of Alliant Employee Benefits. “His strategic approach and extensive knowledge of the benefits industry make him a valuable addition to the Alliant team.”
In his new role, Close will design and deploy a range of employee benefits solutions across the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Close’s experience spans employee benefits, payroll, and human resources. He has worked with clients across a breadth of industries, and is adept at using analytical tools to identify the issues and challenges clients face.
Prior to joining Alliant, he served as vice president of a national insurance brokerage and consulting firm.
In January, Alliant made three senior hires across three states. In November, it appointed Rich Wilson as a senior vice president for its employee benefits group.
